Carpet Cleaning History San Diego County

In 1979 two identical twin brothers founded TWINS. (Now you know where they came up with the idea.) A couple of years later, one of the brothers moved his family to the east coast, but the name TWINS was retained.

Greg Trigeiro first started working with the twins in 1985 and became the owner of TWINS when the second twin also moved back east, near his brother. They have been living several miles apart. There were 5 boys in the twins’ family and all of them have worked for TWINS at one time or another. A secret family fact is there was also a second pair of identical twins among the 5 boys. Only one brother of the five did not have an identical twin brother. Their mother also helped out in the office of TWINS for a number of years before moving to Florida.

Today, our modern fleet is equipped for carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile & grout cleaning and stone floor cleaning with powerful truck-mounted steam cleaning machines. This cleaning system is used on many of the carpets we clean and is the preferred method for residential cleaning. Commercial style carpet in businesses may be cleaned with these same steam cleaning machines or one of several dry cleaning (low moisture) methods of cleaning. Sometimes more than one method will be employed at a location for optimal results.

Greg Trigeiro, the owner of TWINS ProServices is probably the most knowledgeable cleaning person in San Diego County. Besides his troubleshooting for flooring retail stores and doing warranty work for DuPont’s StainMaster carpet and 3M’s Scotchgard carpet, Greg has been certified (training and passing exams) by the IICRC in the following categories.

Greg has attended several programs over the years for working on hard surface floors of tile & grout, and natural stone, including a 5 day master hands-on program.

Greg has achieved the title of Master Rug Cleaner by completing a one year program taught by a second generation Armenian rug expert in Dallas, Texas.

Greg has also completed the Steam Way International program titled Inspector/Corrector, to help carpet mills with warranty claim work.

Greg supports and helps this industry by serving as the San Diego Chapter director of the CFI (Carpet & FabriCare Institute), the largest regional carpet cleaning trade association in the U.S. for carpet cleaning and restoration companies. He currently serves this group in his 3rd term as secretary/treasurer. He has also been involved on national committees to organize a national trade association out of the current 13 independent regional associations.
